We are pleased to announce that the 2012 EFFoST Annual Meeting will be held in the beautiful city of Montpellier, France. In 2012, the focus of the conference is to connect the integrated (broad) and the specialized (focused) views on food to promote health, food security and sustainability for all.
A sustainable food system is a key objective of the Millenium Declaration. New challenges must be integrated, in particular: food security; health issues related to food; sustainable development; evolution of the consumption patterns mainly for the younger generations and the situation of the world's poorest. The expectation that food scientists can help reach these goals is very high in terms of evaluating and understanding risks and formulating solutions.
The conference will provide a significant opportunity for you to join leaders from industry and academia to debate these new challenges and to present your work as a poster or oral presentation.
