Join Effost


This SIG assists the “Global Harmonization Initiative” (GHI) in Europe. The GHI is an organisation that aims at global scientific consensus on issues relating to food regulations and legislation, with the intention that such statements help to reduce unnecessary differences between regulations and legislation that hamper trade between nations and sometimes result in needless destruction of food. GHI was founded in 2004 as a joint initiative of EFFoST and the International Division of IFT, with the support of Elsevier Science and Food Safety Magazine. Since then, many other scientific organisations have joined as well. Individual food scientists (including engineers and technologists) are encouraged to join GHI at no costs by filling in the membership form on t he site.
