Call for abstracts - 2024 EFFoST/ IFT-NPD Workshop on Nonthermal Processing of Foods

The EFFoST/ IFT-NPD Workshop on Nonthermal Processing of Foods is back in Europe, taking place from October 7th to 9th in Potsdam, Germany.

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract for the EFFoST / IFT-NPD Workshop on Nonthermal Processing of Foods. Abstracts of presentations will be published in the publication series Bornimer Agrartechnische Berichte (ISSN 0947-7314) and handed out during the conference. The deadline for submitting your abstract is August 20, 2024. 

This year, the workshop will explore the theme “Nonthermal processes to foster diversity, sustainability and resilience of future food systems”, providing a platform and a meeting point among students, experts and stakeholders in the field of nonthermal processing of foods from the academic research and the industry.

To further enrich this main topic, the workshop will include main topics such as advances and status of the application of nonthermal processing of food, diversification of application of nonthermal processing on alternative food and protein sources, regulatory aspects and standardization, consumer perception, risk assessment, environmental aspects, sustainability assessment and LCA, nonthermal processing for plant-based diets, nonthermal processing for healthy foods: nutritional value, bioactive compounds, healthy ingredients, bioavailability, and nonthermal processing to secure food safety.

The EFFoST/ IFT-NPD Workshop on Nonthermal Processing of Foods is the leading international forum for professionals from academia, industry, and government agencies to share the latest developments on nonthermal processing technologies and their applications in the food industry.

The workshop is organized by and will take place at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy
