EFFoST is part of consortia of different EU projects, and some of the activities performed for these projects include presenting in different conferences giving visibility to the work and achievements.
During this event, Edward presented a list of areas where new emerging innovations were identified in food safety, and shared examples of different start-ups that offer promising and high-quality solutions.

- Mild sterilisation methods
- New cleaning methods
- AI for foresight
- Digitalization
- Sensors
- Methods to extend shelf life
TITAN is a Horizon Europe project that enables transparency in supply chains through the application of innovative technologies to boost health, sustainability and safety of products, processes and diets. The project comprises 23 pilots that develop and demonstrate innovations that positively impact sustainability and transparency. As part of the project, strategic management suggestions for the application of digital tools will be provided to start-ups and SMEs in the food sector, as well as recommendations and a roadmap for policy makers to make supply chains more transparent.
CATALYSE is a Horizon Europe project that aims to accelerate the uptake of knowledge and innovative solutions by end-users that promote food safety. To achieve this, project partners will analyze the needs of end-consumers, potential innovations, and will create a vivid Community of Practice offering a platform to better connect end-users with innovators and high-quality education programs.
