With the generous support of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the endorsement from the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST), contributions from industry, and the enthusiastic participation of many colleagues, Tecnológico de Monterrey has organized the 2019 IFT NPD / EFFoST International Nonthermal Processing Workshop & Short Courses to be held November 3- 6, 2019, under the Theme: “Novel Applications for Healthier Foods & Ingredients.”
Attending the Workshop and registering for one or more of the three Short Courses and four Industry Tours is highly encouraged. On the website one can find a full description of the program, the campus facilities provided by Tecnologico de Monterrey for this important event, local nonthermal food processing industry tours, and the social/cultural events organized to create an environment promoting long term cooperation conversations. The meeting covers numerous food processing innovations including high pressure processing, pulsed electric fields, UV and pulsed light processing, ohmic heating, microwave heating, membrane processing, cold plasma and many other technologies designed to improve the quality of foods and food ingredients.
Free Registration Scholarships is offered for students presenting their work at the meeting. Also, Free Airport-Official Hotel Transportation is organized to facilitate travel experience. Please note that Early Bird Registration for this event closes October 15 while September 15 and October 1 are the deadlines for oral and poster presentations, respectively. Authors of the best work will be invited to submit a full manuscript to be considered by Food Engineering Reviews for publication in a special issue of this high impact journal.
