At the 34th EFFoST International Conference,  Professor Christoph Hartmann will be joined by Prof. Alexander Mathys and Prof. Esther Segal to discuss innovative food solutions such as novel and sustainable food sources, consumer-oriented innovations and active food packaging during the second plenary session ‘Agri-Food innovations and entrepreneurship'.

Professor Christoph Hartmann started his professional career as a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry in 1997. He joined the Nestlé Research Center in Lausanne in 2006, where he investigated the mechanisms of in-mouth food breakdown. Today he leads Academic Alliances and Expertise Development at Nestlé. At EFFoST2020, Prof Christoph Hartmann will discuss artificial Intelligence in food innovation and how to define problems in the food sector that the AI is able to solve. In this interview, we had the opportunity to ask him a couple of questions on how he thinks the food sector will develop.

The 34th EFFoST International Conference will explore the theme 'Bridging high-tech, food-tech and health: Consumer-oriented innovations'. EFFoST2020 will be hosted by Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and held online from 10-12 November.
