YED2021 speaker - Michelle Grant

Biography
Michelle Grant was the founding Executive Director of the World Food System Center at ETH Zurich. From 2011-2018 she led the establishment and growth of the Center, including securing funding and broad stakeholder support to continue into an extended phase of operations. In 2018 she reduced to part-time and continues at the Center as Lecturer and Education Director, establishing and facilitating innovative education programs that train emerging leaders on food system challenges and solutions. In parallel, she is the founder of The Great Full, a platform for coaching and training that supports aspiring leaders build the skills and community they need to create sustainable change in the world. She is the author of the book ‘The Great Full – Sustainable Eating with Purpose and Joy’ and host of The Great Full podcast that explores the personal stories behind leading change in the food system. Michelle studied Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Queensland in Australia, Management, Technology and Economics with a focus on Sustainability and Climate Change at ETH Zurich and Integral Leadership Coaching at the University of Cape Town.
